The service is useful when original CAD files are unavailable, but the PDF must contain enough readable geometry and verified dimensions; automatic conversion accuracy is not guaranteed.
A PDF can be vector, raster, distorted or incomplete. The team first assesses page size, line quality, dimensions, layers and intended use before confirming scope, deliverables and review stages.
A vector PDF may retain clean line geometry, while a scanned PDF is an image and usually requires more manual reconstruction. Faded lines, skew, compression, handwriting and missing dimensions reduce certainty. Share the highest-quality source available and identify whether the page was exported at a known size and scale.
State drawing units and provide at least one reliable dimension, preferably several distributed references. Printed or scanned paper can stretch or skew, so a border alone is not enough to establish accuracy.
